Tovino Thomas’s ‘Narivetta’ set for Telugu release soon

Tovino Thomas’s political action thriller Narivetta is all set for its Telugu debut as Narivetta – Thodelu Veta on May 30, 2025. Initially slated to release simultaneously with the Malayalam version on May 23, the Telugu version faced an unexpected delay. After receiving strong box office acclaim and positive audience feedback in Malayalam, the makers have now confirmed the revised release date. The recently launched Telugu trailer has generated considerable excitement, especially for its intense pre-climax sequence and Tovino’s compelling performance.

Helmed by director Anuraj Manohar and scripted by Abin Joseph, Narivetta takes inspiration from the 2003 Muthanga tribal agitation in Kerala. The film delves into themes of state brutality and tribal resistance, weaving a gripping socio-political narrative. Tovino Thomas essays the role of Varghese Peter, a Kerala Police constable, alongside impactful performances by Suraj Venjaramoodu and Cheran. Produced by Tippu Shah and Shiyas Hassan under the Indian Cinema Company banner, with a score by Jakes Bejoy, the film’s upcoming Telugu release has stirred anticipation among viewers in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
