Kannappa

In a recent update about the highly awaited mythological drama Kannappa, lead actor and producer Vishnu Manchu revealed that the film has undergone considerable edits in its final version to sharpen the narrative. He mentioned that while Prabhas plays a significant divine figure pivotal to Kannappa’s spiritual evolution, his appearance has been condensed to about 30 minutes. Despite the shorter screen time, Prabhas is expected to deliver a powerful and memorable performance. The film also features a special 15-minute appearance by legendary actor Mohanlal, adding a profound emotional dimension to the story.

Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, Kannappa is set to hit theaters worldwide on June 27, 2025. The film features an impressive cast lineup, including Akshay Kumar, Mohan Babu, and Kajal Aggarwal. It traces the transformation of Kannappa, a skeptic and hunter, into a devout devotee of Lord Shiva. In a heartfelt gesture, Vishnu Manchu also shared news of an upcoming devotional track titled "Sri-Kala-Hasti," composed by Stephen Devassy and sung by his daughters, Ariaana and Viviana Manchu. The song is slated for release on May 28, 2025.
