Tiranga Yatra Echoes National Pride in Srinagar, Bengaluru, Jaipur After Operation Sindoor

On Thursday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized rallies in Srinagar, Bengaluru, and Jaipur as part of its 11-day Tiranga Yatra, commemorating the Indian armed forces for their decisive action in Operation Sindoor.

The BJP's J&K wing conducted patriotic rallies across the Valley, including Srinagar, Pahalgam, and Kupwara.
In Srinagar, party workers gathered at Sher-e-Kashmir Park and marched towards the iconic Ghanta Ghar at Lal Chowk, waving the national flag and chanting patriotic slogans.

Party spokesperson Altaf Thakur called the yatra a tribute to the valor and success of the Indian Army, highlighting that Operation Sindoor had dismantled “terror hubs across the border in Pakistan.”
He said the mission sent a strong message to the global community that India will no longer remain passive in the face of terrorism. “Those involved in acts of terror will be eliminated,” Thakur stated.

Additional processions took place in Pahalgam, where a deadly terror attack on April 22 killed 26 people, and in Handwara, located in Kupwara district.

In Jaipur, the yatra saw massive public participation and praise for the armed forces’ swift retaliation in the aftermath of the Pahalgam tragedy.
The march began at Albert Hall and concluded at Badi Chaupar, with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Deputy CM Diya Kumari, and other BJP leaders leading the procession.

The rally was greeted by citizens at several junctions including New Gate, Bapu Bazaar, Sanganeri Gate, Johri Bazaar, and Jama Masjid. In a significant gesture of communal solidarity, members of the minority community welcomed the march at Jama Masjid.

CM Sharma praised the courage displayed in Operation Sindoor and credited PM Modi’s leadership and Cabinet support for enabling the forces to operate with full authority.

In Bengaluru, the BJP held a Tiranga Yatra from Malleshwaram, showcasing a 1,500-foot-long tricolour. The event drew participation from ex-servicemen, students, and people across professions.
Prominent leaders including Radha Mohandas Agarwal, Leader of Opposition R Ashoka, and MLA Ashwath Narayan took part.

Ashoka clarified the event was inclusive and apolitical, saying, “This isn’t about politics—it’s about honouring our brave soldiers.”
However, the presence of a large cut-out of PM Modi in military attire raised eyebrows and sparked discussions about the political undertones of the event.

Agarwal also launched a sharp critique of the Congress, accusing CM Siddaramaiah of making “anti-Hindu and anti-national” remarks. He commended Deputy CM D.K. Shivakumar for siding with the military and condemned what he termed as Siddaramaiah’s “anti-national mentality.”
