Nandamuri Balakrishna is honored with the Padma Bhushan for his contributions to Indian cinema, dedicating the award to his father and thanking his supporters.
On April 28, 2025, veteran Telugu actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna was honored with the Padma Bhushan at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi, with President Droupadi Murmu recognizing his significant contributions to Indian cinema. In his speech, Balakrishna dedicated the award to his father, Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao, and conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the Government of India, his fans, and his family for their continuous support.
With over 40 years in the industry and more than a hundred films, Balakrishna has earned numerous accolades, including three Nandi Awards for Best Actor. His recent film, Daaku Maharaaj, was a box-office success, grossing over Rs 100 crore. In addition to his film career, he has made notable contributions to public service and philanthropy, further strengthening his legacy.
