Dil Raju: Film Awards Deserve Respect, Not Formalities
Dil Raju urges the film fraternity to view Telangana’s first state awards as a true honor for talent, not just a formality—celebrating Telugucinema's excellence

The inaugural Gaddar Telangana Film Awards, held in Hyderabad, marked a milestone as the first official state film accolades since the formation of Telangana in 2014. Recognizing outstanding creative and technical achievements in Telugu cinema between June 2014 and December 2024, the event concluded with TFDC Chairman and producer Dil Raju urging that such honors be viewed not as mere protocol, but as sincere tributes to the artistic value and efforts of the film industry.
Dil Raju underscored the value of state-endorsed film honors, urging that they be met with genuine respect and active engagement. He appealed to actors, directors, and technicians to make these ceremonies a priority despite their busy commitments, noting that such recognition plays a crucial role in acknowledging and uplifting the creative spirit of the film industry.
