Dhanush Begged on Tirupati Streets for 'Kuberaa' Role

Renowned actor and National Award winner Dhanush recently shed light on his intense method acting journey for his upcoming film Kuberaa, helmed by director Sekhar Kammula. During a pre-release event, Dhanush disclosed that, to embody the role of a beggar with sincerity, he actually took to the streets of Tirupati and begged—fully immersing himself in the character’s world. This real-life experience helped him tap into the emotional and physical struggles faced by his character.

Kuberaa tells the compelling tale of a man who rises from abject poverty to a place of prominence and authority. Dhanush’s deep commitment to the role, including shooting in harsh environments like a dump yard, has drawn immense praise. The film also stars celebrated actors Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh. It is set for a nationwide theatrical release on June 20, 2025.
