Adivi Sesh & Mrunal Thakur’s Dacoit to release this Christmas

Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur star in the Telugu action thriller Dacoit, directed by Shaniel Deo. The film is scheduled to release in theaters on December 25, 2025, coinciding with the Christmas season. This marks the debut collaboration between Sesh and Thakur, with Thakur replacing Shruti Haasan, who reportedly left the project due to creative disagreements during production.

Dacoit is a pan-India venture being simultaneously produced in Telugu and Hindi. The plot centers on two former lovers who reunite to carry out a series of audacious heists. Notably, celebrated filmmaker Anurag Kashyap makes his acting debut in Telugu cinema with a mysterious character. Despite strong expectations around the release date, the filmmakers have not yet provided an official confirmation.
